Description
Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights? Join a hospital-based cardiac catheterization team in Bryan, TX as a Cath Lab Technologist (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist). Assist physicians and cath lab personnel with diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate imaging and hemodynamic equipment, and contribute to high-quality patient care across campus locations.
Minimum Qualifications
- ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) verification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital Cath Lab setting.
- Experience scrubbing routine cath procedures and performing peripheral, neuro, and EP scrubbing, including experience with LAAO preferred.
- Experience with Merge Hemodynamics and documentation systems preferred.
- Experience with MEDITECH charting system preferred.
- State licensure as required.
- Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- RCIS certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred if not already listed.
- Prior EP scrub experience, including ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations.
- IR experience and emergent stroke case experience preferred for nurses.
- Cross-training in monitoring and hemodynamics preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0600-1500 (shift notes indicate M-F 0630-1500 with possible 0600 start depending on cases).
- Orientation hours: 12.
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week.
- On-call responsibilities included per unit schedule.
- Will float between Bryan campus (home base) and a College Station campus as needed.
- Documentation/charting system: MEDITECH; Merge used for hemodynamics. Planned transition to EPIC Gold for documentation in October 2026 while retaining Merge for hemodynamics.
- Cancellation policy: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks.
