Description
Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a hospital-based PET/Nuclear Medicine department in Charleston, SC. The technologist will prepare and administer radioactive drugs, operate and troubleshoot nuclear imaging and PET/CT equipment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality diagnostic imaging services. The role includes performing a broad range of nuclear medicine procedures and supporting PET/CT studies using advanced GE imaging platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology, radiologic technology, or related field.
- Current state license or credential required to practice nuclear medicine in South Carolina.
- CNMT or ARRT (NM) certification required. ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) registry required for CT component.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Experience with GE Discovery series scanners, GE Infinia, or equivalent nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment.
- Experience with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems.
- Must be able to follow radiation safety practices and safely prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing PET/CT oncology and specialty PET scans (prostate, amyvid).
- Experience with Xeleris workstation or similar nuclear medicine processing software.
- Experience performing a wide range of nuclear medicine exams including cardiac stress, MUGA, parathyroid, V/Q with pulmonex, HIDA, gastric emptying, bone scans, DaTscan, renogram, thyroid uptake/scan, and cisternograms.
- Prior AIDET or patient experience training.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 07:00–15:00.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with begin times that may vary by up to one hour.
- Call requirements: one weekday call week and weekend call approximately every 4th or 5th weekend.
- Uniform: gray scrubs required.
- Potential to rotate to other shifts based on staffing needs.
