Become a vital part of a Dallas, TX hospital as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will perform diagnostic CT exams, verify patient identity, review medical records for appropriateness of exams, obtain relevant histories, assess risk factors, and explain procedures and potential side effects. You will set up imaging equipment, acquire images per protocol, review images for quality, document exceptions, and communicate findings to radiologists. You will recognize and respond to medical emergencies, provide post-procedure instructions, participate in process improvement, and provide imaging education to trainees. You must be able to take call/standby as required and may perform radiologic technologist duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current ARRT certification in CT and Radiology. (Must be attached to submission.)
• Current Texas CT/Radiology license. (Must be attached to submission.)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association. (Must be attached to submission.)
• A minimum of 2 years recent CT and Radiology experience, able to work independently.
• Familiarity with GE CT and X-ray equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing imaging education to residents, students, or new technologists.
• Prior experience taking call/standby in a hospital radiology department.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00 - 19:30.
• Work days include Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
• On-call/standby available if desired.
