Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join a hospital team in Des Moines, IA as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise while working in a high-acuity hospital environment. Assist physicians and other cath lab personnel in conducting diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operate advanced imaging equipment to capture crucial images and data of the heart and vascular system.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active ARRT or CCI/RCIS certification required.
• Minimum 24 months recent Cath Lab / Cardiac Cath Lab experience required.
• Ability to scrub independently and proficiently required.
• BLS (AHA) required.
• Driver’s license, documentation required.
• Travel experience within the previous 18 months required.
• Work history/resume/employment history must document 24 months of Cath Lab experience.
• Skills checklist specific to Cath Lab / Cardiac Cath Lab required.
• Professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within the past 24 months preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Structural heart experience highly preferred.
• Peripheral vascular experience preferred.
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• EP experience preferred.
• RCES accepted in lieu of RCIS where applicable.
• Willingness to float across hospital campuses preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift days: Monday - Friday, 5x8 hour shifts, start time 07:00, 40 hours per week.
• Call requirement: 1 night per week and every 3rd weekend. Call period: 7:00 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday.
• Must be willing to float across Des Moines hospital campuses as needed.
• Contractors required to work 1–2 of 3 listed summer holidays unless unit is closed.
