Assist physicians and Cath lab personnel in conducting diagnostic tests and procedures, and operate advanced equipment to capture crucial images and data of the heart and blood vessels.

Minimum Qualifications

• RCIS or RCES required. Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) RCIS is accepted.
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience required.
• Minimum 24 months of combined Electrophysiology/EP and Cardiac Cath/CCL experience in a hospital setting required. This work history must be documented on resume/employment history.
• Skills checklist specific to Electrophysiology/EP and Cardiac Cath/CCL required.
• Professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred.
• Driver's license required (document).
• State-specific licensing when required.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred (American Heart Association preferred).
• Travel experience desired but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiac Cath lab experience preferred.
• Travel experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• 4x10 hour shifts per week, 0700 start time.
• 40 hours per week.
• Call required: one night per week and every 3rd weekend.
• May be required to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units.
• Must be available to work 1–2 of 3 major summer holidays unless unit is closed (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).

Impacting the Quality of Care for Patients Nationwide

As a traveling cardiovascular technologist, you will provide critical support in procedural and diagnostic care across hospital settings. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure procedural efficiency, patient safety, and high-quality imaging and data collection. Documentation of clinical competencies and adherence to facility protocols will be required.
