CT Technologist, Days, Travel Contract, Tulsa, OK - 13 weeks - 476

Start Date: ASAP

Shift/Schedule:
Days: Thursday / Friday / Saturday every other week
7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of CT experience

• GE CT experience

• EPIC EMR experience

• TEC experience

Nice to Have:

• Level 1 Trauma experience

Required Certification & Licensure:

• Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)

• BLS

Job Summary:
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to process cross-sectional images of a patient's body for diagnostic purposes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs diagnostic CT examinations according to the department's policies and protocols.

• Screens, prepares, and positions patients for CT procedures based on diagnoses and body parts.

• Demonstrates knowledge of all CT equipment, including laser camera operations.

• Evaluates CT studies for quality and completeness.

• Utilizes advanced image manipulation techniques such as 3D rendering, reformation, and reconstruction.

• Understands image display and filming options.

• Recognizes and resolves CT imaging and filming issues.

• Sends images to the PACS system, evaluates exams for completeness, and verifies exams in a timely manner.

• Develops working knowledge of all PACS capabilities.

• Maintains accurate documentation on logbook worksheets and charges for examinations and supplies.

• Administers contrast media appropriately as directed by the Radiologist.

• Maintains radiation safety for patients, staff, and family members.

• Responds to patient physical and psychological needs.

• Keeps patients informed and explains procedures clearly to reduce anxiety.

• Listens to and answers patient questions with patience and courtesy.

• Seeks guidance from appropriate resources when unsure of protocols or policies.

• Maintains a clean and properly supplied work area.

• Uses independent judgment in planning the sequence of operations and making decisions in a complex technical field.

• Works directly with patients and/or customers.

• Works with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.

• Works with external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.

• Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 years of related experience.

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.

Required Education:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

Required Certification & Licensure:

• Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).

• BLS
