Opportunity:
Emergency Dept.
Job Details:
• Work in a 101-bed emergency department with patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Must work every other weekend with flexible scheduling to meet department needs
• No floating outside of the ED but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
• 2 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year in ER setting
• Level 2 trauma center experience required with comprehensive stroke center and high volume (100,000+ visits) ED experience
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Required certifications before starting: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Navy scrubs required
• Must follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful behavior with focus on patient experience
• Support available from techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage areas
• Unit clerks available during days and nights
