Opportunity:
BLOCK SCHED 1ST TIMER - ER RN - Req 10084
Job Details:
• Block scheduling required - choice of 4/3 block or 6/8 block schedule
• No floating between units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekend coverage required - 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
• Patient ratio of 1:3 across all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• 2 years of experience is a hard stop requirement
• Must have Epic charting system experience
• Required certifications: TNCC, NIH, ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Compact nursing license must be in hand at submission
• Dress code: solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire for licensed nursing personnel
• Free parking available in unrestricted employee/visitor parking lots
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics
• Handle patient diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, NSTEMI, shortness of breath, asthma, GU complaints, headaches, sore throat, and lacerations
• Work in comprehensive stroke, Level II trauma, and STEMI certified facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Complete pre-start modules averaging 16 hours (non-billable)
• Two references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Facility:
This short-term acute care hospital features 379 total staffed beds and operates as a Level II Trauma Center. The emergency department handles approximately 136 visits per day with 42 rooms and 46 beds. The facility offers comprehensive stroke care, Level II trauma services, and STEMI capabilities. The organization provides extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support to ensure comprehensive patient care.
