Opportunity:
Labor & Delivery RN
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Charting system experience required (any system)
• Handle 200-300 births per month
• Provide labor & delivery care and high risk antepartum care
• Triage obstetrical patients
• Use IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration
• Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC)
• Administer anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Assist with high risk deliveries
• Circulate for C-sections and recover C-section patients
• Perform sterile vaginal exams
• Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
• Complete 4-6 hours of non-billable modules onsite during orientation
• Modules are recorded via transcripts
