Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour rotating shifts with various days of the week
• Weekend coverage required per unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs and between like units as required
• 2 years CVICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, Colorado or Compact RN License
• Navy scrubs required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity, varying from 1:2, 1:1 to 2:1
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• 2 pre-approved time off days available
• Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• Completion of facility-specific modules required within first week
• Care for patients requiring comprehensive circulatory and respiratory support
• Work with open-heart surgery patients, ventricular assist devices, heart and lung transplants, ECMO, and various cardiovascular procedures
• Utilize vasoactive medications and complete cardio-pulmonary support at bedside
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations

This healthcare organization operates a 24-bed cardiovascular and thoracic intensive care unit that serves as the regional destination for comprehensive circulatory and respiratory support for critically ill adults. The facility specializes in advanced cardiac procedures including open-heart surgeries, heart and lung transplants, ECMO support, and complex cardiovascular interventions. The multidisciplinary team focuses on holistic health, supportive education, and improving patient outcomes with access to extensive support services including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
