Opportunity:

Radiologic Technologist - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week with varying schedules including weekends and holiday rotation
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience in hospital setting
• Required to work independently covering both CT and X-ray modalities
• Often single staff coverage for both CT and X-ray responsibilities
• Handle high-acuity emergency department cases with moderate pediatric volume
• Perform normal emergency room procedures (no surgical procedures or biopsies)
• Work with acute stroke ready protocols
• Required certifications: CPR, ARRT, ARRT-CT
• Virginia nursing license or compact license required at submission
• Equipment includes GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable x-ray
• Documentation systems: Meditech and Sectra
• Dress code: Grey scrubs required
• Professional, friendly communication skills essential
• Patient ratios: 4-8 patients for nursing with average 80 patients per day, 100+ during winter surge
• No floating required
