Job Details:
• Work 12.5-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 8-week assignment duration
• Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
• Floating to other units required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Must wear navy blue scrubs
• 2+ years of emergency department experience required with pediatric experience
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (must be current and in hand)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Active New York nursing license required
• Care for patients of all ages from newborns to geriatrics
• Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Work with specialty equipment including rapid infusor and Arctic Sun
• Work in 64-bed emergency department with 2 triage areas, 40 acute beds, 6 super track, 2 trauma bays, 10 CDU beds, and 6 psych beds
