Opportunity:
CVPICU RN
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on patient acuity
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule with holiday rotation
• May float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Stepdown units to meet facility needs
• 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required
• Cardiovascular and pediatric experience required
• VAD experience highly preferred
• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: PALS, BLS (American Heart Association only)
• Preferred certification: ACLS (American Heart Association only)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Guaranteed hours with potential for one cancellation per 2-week period
• 12-hour orientation required
• Care for patients with congenital heart disease across all age groups
• Work with specialized equipment including ECMO, CRRT, Berlin Hearts, HeartMate3, and Impella devices
• VAD training provided upon arrival to unit
• Epic charting system experience required
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

This Level I Trauma Center and Magnet teaching facility operates an award-winning 29-bed Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care unit that serves as the referral center for all major pediatric cardiac surgery in South Carolina. The unit has received the Gold Beacon Award and is ranked #4 in US News report with #1 in the nation for outcomes. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac care including cardiac surgery, ventricular assist devices, heart transplants, and cardiac catheterization with an average daily census of 26 patients. The unit offers advanced supportive therapies including ECMO and CRRT, with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services available.
