Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
• Work 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with shifts varying as work continues until procedures are complete
• On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month, plus one call shift and one evening shift per week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities
• Daily caseload consists of 4 to 5 labs per day with 2 Cath Lab Techs per lab, approximately 20 cases per day
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to equal 1 shift
• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
• Must be proficient in coronary diagnostic/interventional scrub and monitor functions
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and SC license (SCRQSA)
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Key skills include: cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), PTCA, left and right heart catheterization, rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, IVC filter placement, embolization, Impella insertion, and accurate monitoring
• Special equipment used includes: Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab documentation system, and Vidistar image storage
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided for the Cath Lab
• Parking pass distributed at badge pickup; no parking fee required
Facility:
This acute care hospital is a 304-bed facility offering advanced cardiovascular and interventional services. The Cath Lab operates five procedure rooms and supports a high-volume caseload including diagnostic and interventional coronary and vascular procedures, angioplasty, temporary pacemaker placement, IABP, Impella support, carotid angiogram, atherectomy, IVUS, FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and Vidistar for image storage, reflecting a commitment to modern technology and comprehensive patient care.
