Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - OR
Job Details:
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with professional nursing practice standards
• Perform patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history and physical information, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical plan of care
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise activities of the health care team to implement patient care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Participate in department or facility shared leadership and contribute to national nursing quality indicators and outcomes
• May provide relief charge for staff and workflow management of the department depending on location
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently and lift up to 75 pounds
• Must use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned to ASC services pediatrics
• Core (FT/PT): Minimum one year of licensed RN experience in OR required, or enrollment in PeriOp101 program with successful completion within 4 months
• PRN: Minimum two years of licensed RN experience in OR required
• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing or higher required
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice
• Additional OR or perioperative licensed RN experience strongly preferred
