Opportunity:
RN - CTICU/CVICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Holidays worked based on unit coverage rotation
• Level I Trauma experience required
• CVICU experience preferred; ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; CCRN preferred
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail)
• Strong IV skills required - no IV team available
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2 with high number of 1:1 assignments; float ratio of 4:1 on tele units
• Charting system: Cerner
• Telemetry system: Phillips
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
• Intensivist on-site during days and on-call at night
• 24-bed unit with 2 PCTs available on days and nights during high census
• Float to other ICUs, telemetry units, and Westgate campus as required; travelers float before permanent staff
• 2-day floor-specific orientation provided
• Common diagnoses include cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, ECMO, esophagectomy, lobectomy, pneumectomy, and TAVR
• High acuity unit with frequent bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, Swans, and epidurals
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Scrub color: Navy
• Must have own personal vehicle

The facility maintains a Level I Trauma designation and offers comprehensive support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy, with a dedicated intensivist program. The organization upholds rigorous clinical standards and employs advanced technologies to support a wide range of critical care procedures and interventions.
