Job Details:

• Block schedules required
• Weekends required as needed, with 6 weekend shifts required per schedule
• No on-call required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must have previous charge nurse experience and ability to charge upon start with minimal department orientation
• Charge nurse will take patients in this role, either as a triage nurse or taking a patient load
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• At least 1 year of experience required
• Compact license must be in hand at submission
• Charting system: Epic
• Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Average daily census of 40 patients with 8 beds in the unit
• Standard emergency department patient diagnoses
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• RN dress code: Navy Blue scrubs
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility

This is a Short Term Acute Care facility with 49 total staffed beds and designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. The emergency department operates with an average daily census of 40 patients and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services. The facility provides a collaborative care environment with access to physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more to support the emergency care team.
