Opportunity:

RN - L&D

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• Call requirement: contract does not take call
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Float to post-partum as needed
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 shifts
• 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery specialty required
• Travel experience required, no first-time travelers
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Intermediate or above EFM
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• FHM system: OB Trace
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
• Care for high-risk OB to routine OB patients as well as antepartum patients
• Unit includes 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, 2 ORs, and 6-bed OB emergency room
• Facility performs 150-200 births per month
• Perform C-sections, cerclages, and tubals on unit
• OR techs scrub for C-sections, attend vaginal deliveries, and handle all stocking
• Scrub colors provided by hospital
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Neonatology and OB hospitalist in house 24/7

Facility:

This acute care facility features a dedicated Labor & Delivery unit with comprehensive obstetric services supporting both routine and high-risk pregnancies. The unit is supported by in-house neonatology and OB hospitalist coverage available 24/7, along with round-the-clock respiratory therapy and pharmacy services. The facility operates as a baby-friendly hospital with lactation support available on-site and a fully equipped OB emergency room to handle obstetric emergencies.
