Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Weekend coverage required as needed, typically every 3rd weekend (up to 3 Friday/Saturday/Sunday shifts per contract)
• No on-call requirements
• Blocked scheduling not guaranteed but unit will do their best to accommodate
• Local candidates accepted
• High volume, fast-paced Level I trauma center OR with 11 rooms focused on ortho, trauma, and spine cases across all specialties with minimal pediatrics
• Must have experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro including craniotomies
• Level I trauma experience required; highly skilled clinicians with recent Level II trauma experience in a like-size or larger facility will be considered
• Scrubbing experience a plus for RN staff
• May float to other areas as helping hands based on job role and abilities
• Scrubs are provided for OR RNs
• Charting system: Cerner experience preferred

• Must adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license required

Facility:

This short-term acute care teaching facility is a designated Level I trauma center operating 11 operating rooms with high volume ortho, trauma, and spine cases across all specialties. With 268 staffed beds and a daily census of approximately 200 patients, the facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more. The OR team operates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical skills across multiple specialties.
