Opportunity:
RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:45 PM to 6:15 AM, 3 shifts per week
• Various days of the week scheduled based on unit needs
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• On-call required per unit needs
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (hard requirement)
• Active compact state nursing license required
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• 14 staffed beds with a daily census of 5-10 patients
• Fast-paced unit averaging 150 births per month
• Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit
• Must be able to circulate in the OR and scrub for C-sections
• Must be proficient in placing internal monitors and IUPC placement
• OB triage experience required
• Must be able to manage laboring and high-risk OB patients including pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and postpartum hemorrhage
• Experience with Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin induction, and cytotec induction required
• Must be able to manage insulin drips and antihypertensive therapy
• Ability to deliver down to 31 weeks/1500g required
• Experience with fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring required
• Must be comfortable with TOLAC/VBAC management
• Special equipment used includes IUPC, FSE, fetal monitoring, and Jada
• Self-scheduling unit
• Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO not approved during the following blackout periods: June 28–July 9, 2026; September 2–September 12, 2026; October 25–November 4, 2026
Facility:
This facility operates a fast-paced Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit with 14 staffed beds and one OR/PACU on the floor. The unit manages a wide range of obstetric cases including low-risk perinatal care as well as high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction, PPROM, and drug use in pregnancy. Interdisciplinary support is available on-site including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
