Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work in a 101-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet departmental needs; block scheduling is not available
• Float within all sections of the ED as needed; no floating outside of the ED
• Utilize Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage; unit clerks available days and nights
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, updated patient boards, and regular patient communication throughout visit
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
• Previous experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all required before start date); ENPC required within 90 days of hire
