Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work in a high-volume Emergency Department with 101 beds
• Patient ratios are typically 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet department needs, block scheduling not available
• Float within all sections of the ED as needed, no floating outside of the ED
• Work alongside techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerks on days and nights
• Use Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
• Document using Cerner electronic health record system
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards, maintain respectful behavior, and keep patient boards updated throughout each visit
• Wear navy scrubs as required uniform
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS prior to start date; ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with 100,000+ visits required
• Minimum 1 year of experience specifically in an ER setting required
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality, ability to coach and provide real-time feedback, and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
