Job Details:

• On-call required: 1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends per month (call days are divided equally among circulators)
• On-call shift hours: 1500–0630
• Weekends not routinely required
• Block scheduling type
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Daily census of 6 patients across 5 operating rooms
• Patients served include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Scrub color required: Navy (all RNs)
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• Travel experience required
• At least 1 year of experience required
• Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Knowledge and skills required in ortho, general, gynecology, and podiatry
• Must be proficient with a wide range of surgical procedures including but not limited to: total joint replacement, arthroscopy, laparoscopic procedures, C-sections, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, and trauma cases
• Must be comfortable with electrosurgical units, Steris, Hana Table, and other specialized OR equipment
• Skills required include: administration of blood and blood products, conscious sedation monitoring, cardiac monitoring, specimen handling and labeling, urinary bladder catheterization, starting peripheral IVs, wound management, infection control, radiation safety, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia response, and code response
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
• 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years (charge RNs/leads accepted)
• May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours

Facility:

This is a short-term acute care facility with 61 total staffed beds. The facility operates a 5-room surgical suite with a daily census of 6 and provides a broad range of surgical services including orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatric procedures. Interdisciplinary support services are available on-site, including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services.
