CT Technologist

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 7 on/7 off schedule
• Call rotation required every 6th week with a 30-minute response time (back-up only, always someone in house)
• Call schedule varies based on rotation days: Monday through Wednesday call runs 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM; Thursday through Sunday call runs Thursday 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Friday 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Saturday 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, and Sunday 7:00 AM to 6:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Occasional holiday rotation with permanent staff
• Float between two campuses approximately 16 minutes apart as needed
• Perform CT scans with and without contrast averaging 16 to 24 scans per day
• Work with 3 GE scanners including one 16-slice and two 64-slice units
• Experience in ER and inpatient settings required
• Start IVs as needed
• May be asked to precept as needed by the unit
• Charting system: MEDITECH; PACS system: Fuji
• Black scrubs required, not provided by facility
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (CT)
• Texas MRT license required
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

Facility:

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 3 designation and supports a radiology department equipped with three GE CT scanners across emergency and main imaging areas. The department utilizes MEDITECH for charting and Fuji for PACS, and provides radiologist support in-house during the day and virtually at night with emergency physician coverage. The facility maintains high standards for patient care across both its campuses and values reliable, skilled imaging professionals to support its team.
