Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM or 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Float to post-partum unit as needed
• 2-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Call requirement is not included in contract
• 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery specialty required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Intermediate or above EFM
• Follow AWHONN staffing ratios
• Charting system: MEDITECH with OB Trace fetal heart monitoring system
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Work in a unit with 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, 2 ORs, and a 6-bed OB emergency room
• Care for high-risk to routine OB patients, as well as antepartum patients
• Unit performs C-sections, cerclages, and tubals
• Support available includes neonatology and OB hospitalist in house 24/7, respiratory therapy 24/7, and pharmacy 24/7
• Baby-friendly hospital with lactation support in house
• BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive Labor & Delivery unit supporting 150-200 births per month. The unit is supported by a robust team including OR techs who scrub for C-sections and attend vaginal deliveries, charge nurses outside the staffing grid, and in-house neonatology and OB hospitalist coverage around the clock. The facility is designated as a baby-friendly hospital with dedicated lactation support available to assist new mothers.
