Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work rotating shifts with start times of 6:45 AM, 6:45 PM, 11:00 AM, or 3:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement with holidays rotating alongside permanent staff
• Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Dress code: Hunter green pants, white top, and white jacket required
• Patient ratio of 1 to 4
• Work in a 12-bed emergency unit including 2 trauma bays, 1 fast track clinic with 4 rooms, and 1 seclusion room
• Approximately 70 patients seen per day ranging from neonates to geriatrics, including minor walk-ins to trauma cases
• Trauma patients are stabilized and transferred via air evacuation; pediatric patients are transferred out as needed
• Perform lab draws independently as nurses typically handle their own
• Work with ventilators as part of standard patient care
• Charge nurses available on each shift and do not take patients
• Support staff includes 1 paramedic per shift, ER techs, and nurse externs
• Security and patient sitters utilized for psychiatric holds and 1-on-1 observation
• IV team available for midlines and difficult sticks Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7, with pharmacy in-house during daytime hours
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), CPI, NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty and at least 1 prior travel contract required
• Must reside within a strict 75-mile radius
• No floating required
• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• BSN not required
• Valid state license required for submission
