Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 12 shifts per month (3 shifts per week)
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Department leadership completes the schedule around requested time off
• Patient ratio of 2:1 in a 25-bed ICU unit
• Floating policy operates on a rotation basis with travelers floating first
• Document using Meditech Expanse electronic health records system
• Work with GE Monitors, Hamilton BiPAPs and high-flow devices, Puritan ventilators, and Hemospheres equipment
• Update MyCare boards each shift during bedside shift report
• Complete bedside shift report at each change of shift
• Must have strong telemetry skills
• Must have experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications
• Must have chest tube experience
• Must have prior ICU experience
• Open heart experience preferred and prioritized
• Temporary pacing experience preferred
• Swan-Ganz catheter experience preferred
• Procedures performed on unit include intubation, central line and arterial line placement, and chest tube placement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Dress code: Scrubs (any color)

Facility:

This facility is a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 2 Trauma Center, also recognized with a Three Star STS Open Heart Program designation. The ICU operates with around-the-clock mid-level providers, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists, with physical therapy and occupational therapy available during day shifts. The facility is equipped with modern technology and maintains high standards of patient care across its specialized units.
