Job Details:

• Must have Level 1 trauma acute care experience - minimum 1 year required
• Monday through Friday shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (start time flexible up to 8:00 AM)
• Required to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during a 4-week period, resulting in a day off during the applicable week
• No on-call requirements
• May float within any therapy service line to meet facility needs
• Provide therapy services across a wide range of patient care areas including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology
• Primary role is inpatient acute care serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Establish treatment plans and provide treatment considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status, and appropriate equipment and supplies
• Educate, collaborate, and conference with patients, families, and other healthcare providers, making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed
• Delegate to assistants and technicians through written and verbal communication
• Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies using Epic charting system
• Assessments, documentation, patient/family education, and safety and injury prevention required
• Strong communication skills and desire to work with a variety of patient populations required
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off within a 13-week contract
• Required certifications: BLS, State License
• Scrub color: Black or Grey
• Special equipment includes safe patient handling equipment, vitals carts, and iPad interpretation

This short-term acute care teaching facility is a Level 1 trauma center with 1,259 total staffed beds. The facility provides therapy services across a broad spectrum of patient care areas and supports an interdisciplinary care model. The organization utilizes Epic as its charting system and offers a dynamic environment where clinicians may work across multiple therapy service lines to meet diverse patient needs.
