Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekends required on a rotation basis as needed
• Holiday shifts required based on need
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• CNA support available at a 1:8 ratio with up to 3 CNAs when unit is at full capacity
• Charge nurse on each shift does not take patients; Administrative Supervisor on site 24/7
• Common diagnoses include Heart Failure, COPD, Sepsis, AFIB, Pneumonia, Stroke, detox, and suicidal holds
• Set rate drip medications include Diltiazem, Heparin, Amiodarone, and Lidocaine; titrating drips is not required
• RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow; patients on BiPAP for more than 4 hours will transfer to ICU
• Telemetry Techs available on unit; RNs are required to sign off on their strips using SpaceLabs
• Charting system is EPIC
• Floating may be required to MedSurg on the same campus, as well as Telemetry units in Meridian or Boise
• Team nursing model in use; experienced travelers may serve as lead RN
• 1-2 days of unit/department-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs must be clean and professional; any color is acceptable
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry or relevant RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a 24-bed Telemetry unit that utilizes a team nursing model to deliver collaborative, high-quality patient care. The unit is supported by a dedicated charge nurse, CNAs, and an on-site Administrative Supervisor available around the clock. The facility uses EPIC for charting and SpaceLabs for telemetry monitoring, ensuring modern tools are in place to support clinical staff.
