Opportunity:

Acute Care Physical Therapy

Job Details:

• 5x8 shift schedule, Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
• Required certifications: BLS, PT license
• California PT license must be in hand prior to start
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Free parking available
• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work across a variety of diagnoses including THA, TKA, CABG, general surgery, fractures, and general medical cases
• Perform evaluations, reassessments, plan of care development, and short-term goal setting
• Provide gait training, patient and family education, and home exercise programs
• Conduct strength testing, pain assessment, and vital sign monitoring
• Assist with assistive devices including standard walkers, gait belts, and crutches
• Work with patients managing conditions such as COPD, CHF, CABG, MI, hip fractures, knee injuries, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, and post-stroke rehabilitation
• Perform AROM/AAROM/PROM, body mechanics, skin integrity assessments, and discharge planning
• Cover areas including ER, ICU, Medical Surgical, orthopedics, and geriatrics
• Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital with 212 total staffed beds serving the local community. The facility is a small, community-based hospital offering comprehensive services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. The hospital utilizes Epic for charting and provides free parking for staff.
