Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technician

Job Details:

• Cardiac Cath Lab experience required with experience in at least two of four modalities: Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
• Call requirement based on unit need, discussed with nurse manager on a case-by-case basis
• Weekend requirements can be discussed with manager
• Float required within scope to meet facility needs across three sister hospitals within 20 miles
• Block scheduling not available
• Minimum 18 months of experience in specialty required, 2 years preferred
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS and BLS
• Preferred certifications: Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) and RCIS
• ARRT R and CCI RCIS certifications required
• Charting system experience required; EPIC used at facility
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue
• Skills required include: Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), IABP Placement/Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Left and Right heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), PTCA, Rotablator atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Equipment setup, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, Room circulator, maintaining sterile field, and Isolation Precautions/PPE
• Two supervisor/manager references required
• EKG and Pharm tests required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each
• Required modules must be completed prior to start date
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application

This short-term acute care facility operates across three hospital campuses within a 20-mile radius, offering a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment. With 180 staffed beds, the facility utilizes EPIC for charting and provides free parking for staff.
