Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Approximately 180-200 patient visits per day
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Common diagnoses include trauma, CVA, neuro, and orthopedic cases
• 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatry on unit
• Nurses responsible for own lab draws and IV starts
• Charge nurse and nurse aides/paramedics (5-6 per shift) available on unit
• Security and patient sitters available; patients held in main ER until admitted
• Ventilator patients held in ER until admitted with 24/7 respiratory therapy support
• 24/7 pharmacy support with in-department coverage 11 hours per day
• Central monitoring tech available for telemetry
• Auto lunch deductions apply
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• 2-shift floor-specific orientation required and must be completed during week one
• Charting system: Meditech 6.15
• Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 travel assignment
• Meditech experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS or ASLS, CPI

This acute care facility operates a high-volume emergency department managing approximately 180-200 patient visits per day. The department is equipped with 24/7 respiratory therapy, around-the-clock pharmacy support, a dedicated behavioral health lockdown area, and central telemetry monitoring. The facility serves as a CVA center and manages a broad range of cases including trauma, neurological, and orthopedic conditions, with a full complement of support staff including paramedics, security, and patient sitters.
