Opportunity:
RN - OR
Job Details:
• Work day shifts Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities required 7 days per month including one weekend per month
• Call shifts run from 3:00 PM to 6:30 AM and are spread throughout the month
• Minimum 4 years of recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting required
• Experience as an OR Circulator with Endoscopy experience required
• OR specialty experience required in Endoscopy, Orthopedic, and General surgery
• ENT and GYN experience preferred
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care planning
• Work collaboratively with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, OR Technicians, and other personnel
• Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, timeliness of cases, communication with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases, and supervision of personnel delivering patient care
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (must be through the American Heart Association)
• Alabama RN license or multi-state RN license required

This healthcare facility operates a full-service surgical department offering a wide range of operative specialties including Endoscopy, Orthopedic, General surgery, ENT, and GYN procedures. The operating room team works collaboratively with surgeons and anesthesiologists to deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards. The facility maintains a strong commitment to patient safety and surgical excellence through well-established policies and procedures.
