Opportunity:
L&D Nights
Job Details:
• Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required
• Float to Postpartum as needed based on facility needs
• 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
• Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP - must be in hand at time of submission
• FHM certification also required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
• Provide care for laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
• Perform and assist with C-sections, External Cephalic Versions, and vaginal deliveries
• Manage OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery patients
• Proficiency in a broad range of L&D skills including fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, neonatal resuscitation, and hemorrhage management
Facility:
This facility operates a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit that includes OB Triage, Postpartum care, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit provides comprehensive obstetric services for patients at 34 weeks gestation and greater, with the capacity to manage complex, high-risk conditions. The facility supports interdisciplinary care and maintains a structured scheduling environment to ensure consistent, quality patient outcomes.
