Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• 2 years of experience in an ER setting required
• Kentucky or compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC
• Advanced Math exam, Med/Pharmacology exam, EKG Onboarding exam, ED Competency exam, ED skills, and CORE exams required during onboarding
• Travel experience preferred but not required (first-time travelers with Level 1 ER experience will be considered)
• Trauma Level I experience preferred but not required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 4-5 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• For 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM shifts, Friday and Saturday are counted as weekends
• For 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM shifts, Saturday and Sunday are counted as weekends
• No call required
• Treats patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 90 with approximately 250 visits per day across 84 rooms and 100 beds
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Must have experience with care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Level I Trauma Center, and triage
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted at this facility
• Requested time off longer than 1 week not approved unless special circumstances apply
