Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Home unit is 2W with ability to float to any med/surg unit on any campus in Fargo as needed
• Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
• 10-bed department
• Scrubs: Navy Blue required
• Provide care for general medical/surgical patients
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues including physicians to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise utilizing appropriate age and population specific standards
• Equipment utilized includes Epic EMR, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry
• Minimum 2 years of med/surg experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Experience working in a larger hospital (250 beds minimum) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center required
• Recent travel experience required, preferably within the last year; must show completed travel assignments
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• North Dakota or compact state RN license required, or willingness to obtain
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Cancellation policy allows up to 12 hours every 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center, providing comprehensive medical services across multiple campuses. The facility features a robust med/surg program supported by advanced technology and equipment, including Epic EMR and telemetry monitoring systems. With a minimum of 250 beds, this large hospital setting offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where nursing staff work closely with physicians and inter-professional teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
