Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds
• Patient ratios are typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Schedule requires every other weekend availability with flexibility to meet department needs - block scheduling is not available
• Must be open to floating to all sections within the ED, no floating outside of the ED
• Document patient care using Cerner electronic health record system
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards and patients updated throughout their visit
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
• Previous experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time, and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all required before start date); ENPC required within 90 days of hire

It also houses the region's only children's hospital with a pediatric emergency room and 30 pediatric subspecialists, as well as the busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas and the region's only open heart and interventional cardiology program.
