Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule includes weekdays and every other weekend
• No call, charge, or float responsibilities
• Block scheduling available if requested at time of profile submittal
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 9-room/9-bed emergency department with a daily census of 40 patients
• Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
• Scrub color: Burgundy
• 2+ years of experience required; 5 years of ED experience preferred
• Small ED background preferred
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, WV License
• Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP, TNCC
• Required skills: IV start, triage, and emergency department competencies
• Must be proficient in skills including interpretation of dysrhythmias, ABG interpretation, blood product administration, procedural sedation monitoring, central line care, chest tube management, IV vasopressors, and triage
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• Must maintain 75-mile radius from facility

Facility:

This emergency department operates a 9-bed unit with a daily census of 40 patients, providing care for a wide range of emergency conditions across all age groups. The facility is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The unit utilizes Cerner as its charting system and supports a collaborative, fast-paced environment for emergency care professionals.
