Opportunity:
RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
• Various days of the week with weekend shifts required per unit needs
• On-call required per unit needs
• Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• 14-bed Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit delivering approximately 150 births per month
• Fast-paced environment managing laboring and high-risk OB patients
• Circulate in the OR and perform C-section recovery
• Place internal monitors including IUPC and fetal spiral electrodes
• OB triage experience required
• Manage high-risk conditions including pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, postpartum hemorrhage, and preterm labor
• Deliver down to 31 weeks/1,500 grams
• Administer Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, and insulin drips
• Utilize Epic charting system (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Self-scheduling
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO is not allowed during the following blackout periods: June 28 – July 9, 2026; September 2 – September 12, 2026; October 25 – November 4, 2026
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (hard requirement)
• Compact state license accepted
• Special equipment used: IUPC, Fetal Spiral Electrode, External Fetal Monitoring, Jada
Facility:
This facility is a fast-paced Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit featuring 14 staffed beds across 12 rooms with a daily census of 5 to 10 patients. The unit delivers approximately 150 births per month and is equipped to handle both low-risk and high-risk perinatal cases. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The unit features one OR and PACU on the floor, an 18-bed postpartum and OB-GYN unit, and utilizes Epic for charting.
