Opportunity:
Cath Lab, EP and IR - RN
Job Details:
• Work four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with one weekday off
• Call team coverage from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning
• Typically 7 to 10 days of call per month from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM, including one weekend per month
• Average of 1 to 2 weeknight call shifts per week
• One weekend of call per month covering Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM
• Holiday call commitment typically includes one summer holiday and one winter holiday
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Work in a facility with 3 rooms and a hybrid OR averaging 15 to 20 cases per day
• Circulate cases including administering medications and sedation, and monitoring patients through procedures
• Work with a variety of cardiac and interventional cases including diagnostic heart caths, PCIs, cardiac interventions, device implants, interventional radiology, vascular procedures, structural heart procedures, and electrophysiology
• Prefer at least 2 to 3 years of experience in both IR and cath lab, as well as vascular and/or structural heart experience
• Work with equipment including Phillips x-ray/table, ultrasound, impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, laser atherectomy, CSI, rotablator, angiojet, FFR, IVUS, OCT, and CO2 for angiography
• Use Cerner EMR and Merge hemodynamic charting system
• Teams consist of 3 to 4 persons per room depending on staffing and case type, and 4-person teams for call coverage
• Cath lab staff do not typically float to other departments, though floating is possible in critical staffing situations
• Hospital provides scrubs for use while in the cath lab
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS through AHA

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, and Interventional Radiology department with three dedicated procedure rooms and a hybrid OR. The department provides 24/7 call coverage with interventional cardiologists and interventional radiologists, supporting a wide range of complex cardiac, vascular, and structural heart procedures. The facility is equipped with advanced technology and maintains a structured team-based approach to patient care.
