Opportunity:
RN - Cath Lab
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call shifts vary between 6 to 10 shifts per schedule with a 30-minute response time required
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Holidays worked into rotation
• Unit consists of 3 main beds, 1 EP lab, and 1 Hybrid room handling both vascular and cardiac cases
• Handle 10 to 25 cases per day including interventional, EP lab, peripherals, cardiology and vascular, MitraClip, TAVR, IABP, and EMTALA placements
• RNs are responsible for circulating duties
• 2-day floor-specific orientation provided
• Charting systems used: Cerner and Xper
• Telemetry system: Philips; equipment includes Philips and Siemens
• Scrub colors provided by facility
• Charge nurse and rad techs available on unit
• Pharmacy and respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Arizona RN license required
• BSN not required
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam with a score of 80% or higher prior to contract start (two attempts allowed)
• Must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail); maintaining sterile field is critical
• Level I Trauma experience required

This acute care facility is a Level I Trauma Center offering a comprehensive range of cardiac and vascular services. The facility operates a full-service Cath Lab with multiple procedure rooms including an EP lab and a hybrid room capable of handling both vascular and cardiac cases. The organization maintains high clinical standards, requiring competency validation through simulation labs and examinations to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
