Opportunity:

RN - Tele/NEURO

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage assigned on a rotation basis
• Acute care setting
• 32-bed Telemetry and Neurology unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 during day shift
• Responsible for reading own cardiac strips each shift using GE telemetry monitors (virtual telemetry monitoring, no on-unit Tele/Monitor Techs)
• Required to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem
• Care for patients with cardiac, neurological/stroke, and seizure diagnoses
• Respiratory therapy equipment including High Flow and BiPAP devices present on unit; RNs responsible for troubleshooting only
• Floating requirement; travelers may be placed on call as a last resort
• Charting system: EPIC
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Neurological care experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a specialized Telemetry and Neurology unit providing comprehensive cardiac and neurological patient care. The unit utilizes virtual telemetry monitoring with GE telemetry equipment and supports a structured staffing model that includes charge nurses, registered nurses, LPNs, and patient care technicians. The facility uses EPIC as its electronic charting system and maintains a collaborative environment with self-scheduling and block scheduling options available to staff.
