Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Per diem night shift position
• Minimum two years of recent experience in respiratory therapy required
• Perform basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
• Assess and document appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy including recommendations
• Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy while maintaining patient charts
• Draw arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
• Provide care to ventilator-dependent patients
• Perform pulmonary function tests
• Complete paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient
• Assist in training and supervision of new employees as delegated
• Instruct nursing personnel in patient surveillance and equipment monitoring
• Required certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Preferred certifications: NRP, PALS, PEARS
• Must be registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; Master's degree preferred
