Opportunity:

RN - Ortho/Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule required
• Holiday shifts required as part of rotating holiday schedule
• Unit operates with a 1:5-6 patient ratio
• 3 CNAs per shift with a 1:7-8 aide ratio
• Charge nurse available 24/7
• Must have strong orthopedic experience including Total Joint Replacement (not just fractures)
• Common diagnoses include orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures
• Telemetry monitoring on unit; RNs are not required to read strips
• RNs are not required to titrate drips
• RT and equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow used as needed
• May float to units 7E, 7W, 10W, and 10E
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Required certification: BLS
• BSN not required
• Acute care setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility

Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering a wide range of acute care services across multiple specialized units. The orthopedic and telemetry unit consists of 22 total beds and is supported by a dedicated charge nurse around the clock, ensuring consistent leadership and patient care standards. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and maintains a well-structured team environment with CNAs supporting nursing staff on every shift.
