Opportunity:
CT Scan Tech
Job Details:
• Work 4x10-hour shifts Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM at Main location
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and to sister facilities
• Must attend all staff meetings
• Guaranteed hours allow facility to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• 40-hour orientation required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with previous experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT RT(R)(CT), and SCRQSA(R)(CT)
• Required experience: Peripheral IV placement, Siemens equipment experience, and Level 1 Trauma experience
• Must have South Carolina license in hand at time of start — pending licenses not accepted
• Required charting system experience: Epic
• Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
• Agency must supply radiation badge — facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers
• Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Equipment used: Siemens Force (Somaris 7), Siemens Go.Top (Somaris 10), Siemens Somatom Definition (Somaris 7)
• Skills required include CT procedures such as abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, cervical, lumbar, thoracic, vascular CTA, brain perfusion, cardiac, myelography, colonography, and musculoskeletal trauma
• Additional skills include contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, multiplanar reconstruction, 3D rendering, PACS, Sectra, starting peripheral IVs, and isolation precautions/PPE
• IR/Angio/Special Procedures experience preferred, including biopsies and drainage
• Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center experience required
Facility:
This is a large Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center with 865 staffed beds and a daily census of 130 patients. The facility operates as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and handles a broad range of cases including routine studies, outpatient procedures, cardiac imaging, and interventional radiology. The CT department includes three rooms and utilizes advanced Siemens imaging technology to support high-acuity patient care.
