Opportunity:

RN - OBS 6N & 6C (Stepdown & Floor)

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week with 3x12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• May be expected to work holidays as scheduled
• Acute care setting across two separate units on the same floor totaling 31 beds
• Stepdown unit ratio of 1:3; Floor ratio of 1:5-6
• Nurse aide support available with 3-4 aides for 31 patients
• Charge Nurse present on each shift with House Supervisor in-house 24/7
• Respiratory Therapy available in-house 24/7; no vents on this unit
• Must be able to titrate drips in Stepdown and Heparin drips on the floor
• Telemetry available on unit with tele techs; RNs must be able to read and interpret strips
• Common diagnoses include MedSurg, Cardiac, IDDM, COPD, Trauma, Ortho, ENT, Urology, and pain management
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• BSN not required

The organization utilizes EPIC as its electronic health record system and supports staff with dedicated charge nurses on every shift.
