Opportunity:
Respiratory Therapist
Job Details:
• Day shift position with 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Perform basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
• Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy while maintaining patient charts
• Draw arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
• Provide care to ventilator patients
• Assess and document appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy including recommendations
• Complete paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient
• Assist in department record keeping and participation in training and supervision of new employees
• Experience with EPIC and Cerner required
• Minimum two years of recent experience in respiratory therapy required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; Master's degree preferred
• Required certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, BLS, and ACLS
• Preferred certifications: NRP, PALS, and PEARS
• Must be registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Ability to work independently as well as maintain supervision over others as delegated
