Opportunity:

1Y/1ST TIMERS - Neuro EXP Tele RN - Req 10673

Job Details:

• Float between units as needed to meet unit needs
• No on-call required
• Every other weekend required
• Block schedules not required
• Expected patient ratio of 1:4
• Must have Neurology RN experience and be comfortable with the NIH scale
• Must be proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurology diagnoses
• At least 1 year of experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury
• Scrub color: Any color for RN
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during the compliance process and prior to start

This short-term acute care facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 total staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it offers a rich clinical environment with robust interdisciplinary support including interpretation services. The neuroscience unit is a designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation, a Spine Center of Excellence with JCAHO designation, and a NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center, reflecting the facility's commitment to advanced neurological care.
