Opportunity:

CT Scan Tech

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at ART with holiday rotation
• No on-call required
• Floating required, rotating through all buildings as needed including sister facilities
• Daily caseload of approximately 60 exams per shift
• Primarily cardiac exams (75% cardiac), routine studies, stroke patients, and Interventional Radiology procedures
• Perform a wide range of CT procedures including abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, vascular CTA, coronary CTA, brain perfusion, myelography, colonography, and musculoskeletal trauma studies
• Operate Siemens Naeotom Alpha Photon Counting and Siemens X.Cite equipment (Somaris 10)
• Siemens experience and Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Perform 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurements
• Administer and prepare contrast media and perform venipuncture and peripheral IV starts
• Follow radiation safety protocols; radiation badge must be supplied by agency
• Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
• Guaranteed hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT RT(R)(CT), and SCRQSA (R)(CT), SC license
• Patient age groups: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Facility:

This facility is a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds. The facility includes a dedicated Heart and Vascular Hospital, supporting a high volume of cardiac imaging alongside routine studies, stroke care, and Interventional Radiology procedures. The department operates three CT rooms and utilizes advanced Siemens photon-counting CT technology with Epic as the primary charting system.
