Opportunity:
Respiratory Therapist - NICU/Pediatrics
Job Details:
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holidays required
• 26-week contract with 13-week contracts accepted
• Travel experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required within specialty
• Level 2 trauma experience required
• NICU experience preferred but not required
• Level 3 NICU experience strongly preferred
• Draeger Vent experience required
• Experience with neonatal oscillating vents and high frequency jet vents preferred
• Will float between two campuses as needed
• Expected to rotate through all areas of the hospital including NICU and Pediatric units based on census and staffing needs
• May be asked to orientate students and new hires as needed
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Required certifications: BLS and CRT or RRT plus state license, ACLS
• Additional preferred certifications: NRP, PALS, CPFT
• Connecticut state license required
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 36 orientation hours included

This short-term acute care hospital operates 426 staffed beds and functions as a Level II Trauma Center, providing comprehensive care across multiple campuses. The facility is part of a large regional health system and offers a wide range of clinical services, including neonatal and pediatric care, supported by advanced technology and multidisciplinary teams. Staff are expected to be flexible and prepared to support various units based on patient census and staffing needs.
